Three hour canning class providing instructional steps to preserve food dry goods such as rice, flour, sugar, pasta, cookies, crackers, beans, herbs. Canning jars may be purchased from Amazon, Wal-Mart, Target.
Supplies Needed for Workshop
- 24oz Mason Jars to preserve dry goods
- 3 pint Mason Jars to preserve crackers, cookies, chips, cereal, nuts,
- 1 pk of oxygen absorbers
Attendees must pre-sterlize jars prior to attending workshop. To pre-sterilize jars, perform the following steps: 1. wash jars, 2. boil jars and tops in a pot with 1/4 cup of vinegar for 20 minutes. Air dry.
